Job Summary:
The Mechanical Supervisor will be utilized on a small scale up to big scale MEPF Projects. He/She will be in charge in the supervision and coordination Mechanical Systems; HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning), Plumbing and Sanitary, Fire Protection System, Boiler System and Generator Sets, HEPP (Hydro-Electric Power Plant) Mechanical Systems, Water Works Mechanical System and various Piping systems and will lead, motivate, monitor and oversee Mechanical team to ensure they produce quality work. Mechanical Supervisors will provide technical guidance regarding the proper implementation of mechanical drawings and ensure all works are in accordance to the technical specifications, contract, local and international standards.
Detailed Job Description:
- Determines the works to be done for a project through carefully analyzation of Mechanical works intended for the project and prepares a draft schedule for the whole Mechanical works.
- He/She will aid the MEPF Site Manager/Head/Mechanical Superintendent in formulating the MEPF Coordinated Project Schedule and will prepare necessary manpower loading for every Mechanical Work deliverables.
- Determines and prepares summary or list of all long lead Mechanical System materials or equipment.
- Plans, records and prepares work activities and work accomplishment on a daily basis and submits reports weekly to his immediate superior.
- Prepares summary or list of necessary Testing and Commissioning procedures and forms intended for all Mechanical Scope of works
- Prepares summary or list of gathered Operation and Maintenance manuals from installed Mechanical equipment. Updates this summary and submit report monthly to immediate superior.
- Rechecks Bill of Quantity in reference to the approved “Good for Construction” drawings during early period of the project. Notify in writing or prepare “Request for Information” thru immediate superior should there be any discrepancies with the Contract BOQ and GFC Drawing.
- Prepare materials quantity take-off and material requisition for procurement purposes and on site requirements and follow up regularly for timely delivery of materials. Provides summary and updates regularly the materials requisition.
- Attend coordination meetings related to Mechanical works.
- Supervise, monitor and conduct field surveys and supervision on site related to Mechanical works and ensure proper coordination of drawing and its implementation has been observed.
- Oversees the preparation of shop drawings and detailing and assist MEPF Site Manager/Head//Mechanical Superintendent and Site Engineering Team for some engineering works as required.
- Perform on site supervision and inspects work particularly important Mechanical works efficiently and accurately, including interfacing works with other discipline while ensuring compliance with the standard procedure, project specification, contract BOQ, local and international standard.
- Perform other MEPF related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
