Job Summary:
The PED Superintendent is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Plants and Equipment Department on a project site.
Detailed Job Description:
- Responsible for the overall deployment of equipment at project site.
- Supervises the work of equipment supervisors, equipment clerks, operators, drivers and maintenance personnel.
- Coordinates with project operations for daily activities and ensures proper equipment utilization and handling.
- Determines optimum methods of accomplishing work, analyze available budget and manpower to accomplish set targets.
- Manages the daily equipment manpower distribution as required by project operations.
- Administers overall maintenance and repair programs of equipment and vehicles for both preventive and corrective maintenance including running maintenance.
- Responsible to make follow-ups on all urgent parts requests.
- Checks and verifies all PED weekly and monthly reports.
- Oversees custody of all available spare parts on site and the quality of parts being purchased.
- Trains and motivates operators, drivers and maintenance personnel to maintain the equipment and vehicle’s operational condition to minimize and avoid downtime
- Participates in regular project meetings.
- Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
