Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC), the local affiliate of the cigarette conglomerate, Philip Morris International; together with Sta. Clara International Corporation pens the contract for the extension project of their Batangas Factory last November 14, 2022.
The Contract Signing and Meet & Greet affair was held at the PMFTC manufacturing plant located at the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) in Tanauan, Batangas. In attendance were key personnel of the PMFTC party which included Nicolas Souvlakis (Director for Manufacturing), Muhammad Asad (Director of the Batangas Factory), Estrella Raquin (Manager for Sustainability), Tyrone Uy (Procurement Manager), Farhad Siddique (Project Manager), and Thomas Muller (Construction Manager).
On the other hand, taking the lead for the SCIC team is Chairman and Managing Director, Nicandro G. Linao; together with Carlos P. Hadap (Director, Business Development & Engineering), Antonio S. Pascua (Director, Project Control and Technical Services), Pablo G. Mandrilla, Jr. (Group Manager, Business Development & Marketing), and Norman Enriquez (Group Manager, Buildings & Industrial Plants).
Both parties initially conveyed their short messages regarding the project with Mr. Souvlakis stressing the importance of safety and strict adherence to the protocols being implemented by both the company and FPIP for the duration of the construction. Meanwhile, Mr. Linao expressed his excitement for the project and assures its swift completion. The meeting ended with a short tour of the facility as well as the project site.
