Balingasag, Misamis Oriental — On February 11, 2016, Sta. Clara International Corporation (SCIC), as the civil contractor for the 3X55 MW Balingasag Thermal Power Plant, celebrated the project’s five (5) Million Safe Man Hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI).
Together with Mitsbushi Corporation and other contractors, SCIC celebrated the event with Kagami—biraki — a traditional sake barrel ceremony, signifying good fortune and harmony.
During the occasion, SCIC Chairman and President Mr. Nicandro G. Linao personally congratulated each and every one of the team. He said, “Though we have reached the 5 Million milestones, the challenge is still there. We must continue with our safety culture as this is a full-time job and has no end. Today’s celebration is both for recognition of our past achievements and for building our way to the future, together.”
