As Sta. Clara International Corporation (SCIC) continues its growth powered by excellence in engineering and world-class quality construction, it embarks on the Cadet Engineer Program (CEP) as another step to sustain this impetus and thrust itself further to greater heights. With the help of seasoned veterans as mentors with expertise in different fields of engineering and construction, Sta. Clara aims to develop the ideal SCIC engineer, future project manager, and company executive who will someday take charge and lead the company.
Cadet Engineer Program: Bridge the Gap, Steel the Future
The Beginning
On September 2015, Sta. Clara started to gather young and talented engineers from all over the Philippines who are ready and willing to undergo the Cadet Engineer Program. After almost two months of screening and selection, the first batch consisting of twenty-two (22) cadets were finally launched last November 12, 2015. This was then followed by six more batches from 2016 to 2021 with a total of one hundred forty-five (145) cadet engineers.
So far, the program has produced ninety-three (93) enthusiastic, driven and inquisitive cadet graduates across seven batches. They are composed of civil, electrical, mechanical, and mining engineers now assigned all over the country to Sta. Clara’s various projects as full-fledged SCIC engineers.
What is the Cadet Engineer Program (CEP)?
Sta. Clara’s CEP is open to licensed civil, electrical, mechanical, and mining engineers. It is a comprehensive nine-month program where the cadets will be exposed to different fields of construction and engineering such as operations (civil, electrical, mechanical, tunneling, special project/foundation), contracts, planning, tendering and costing, plants and equipment, and quality control.
The program is built to allow the cadets to learn from all fields, and be provided with a holistic foundation on engineering and construction rather than initially focusing on a single discipline. Aside from technical knowledge and skills, they will also be guided to function as engineers the Sta. Clara way. This is built around its core values of service, commitment, integrity and character.
