Continuing the legacy of building a greener future for the Philippines, Sta. Clara International Corporation, and partner – Investco BHPI Inc., inks the contract for the 8.4MW Maladugao (Upper Cascade) Hydroelectric Power Project (Scope of Work: Civil Works and Balance of Plant) last October 11, 2022, at La Creperie, White Plains, Quezon City.
Fernando T. Delgado (Deputy Managing Director) and Renin T. Belo (Director for Hydropower Project) together with Nicandro G. Linao (Chairman and Managing Director) at its helm led the SCIC party during the contract signing affair. Meanwhile, the Investco team was represented by the company’s Vice Chairman and Corporate Treasurer – Kenneth Sytin, Corporate Secretary – Constantino L. Navarro III, and Operations Manager – Antonio Abella.
Identified as one of the best areas for harnessing hydropower, Mindanao is already home to several large HEPPs erected over the past decades. The 8.4MW Maladugao Hydroelectric Power Plant is set to be built in the province of Bukidnon situated in Northern Mindanao. Both Chairman Linao and Vice Chairman Sytin, during their short messages, expressed their enthusiasm for the immediate mobilization of the project and its significant impact on producing affordable electricity – another huge step towards a sustainable future for the Filipino people.
